The aim of this module is to enable the course participants to perform rescue operations, in a WTG hub, spinner and inside the blade by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height.
(Mon) Advanced Rescue Training Hub
Course syllabus
Participants completing an Advanced Hub Rescue (ART – H) training course will be able to:
- Perform rescue operations, in a WTG hub, spinner and inside a blade
- Package an injured person on a rescue stretcher and spine board in a vertical or horizontal configuration
- Apply rescue methods and techniques in performing descending and ascending, moving casualty vertically and horizontally
- Apply the concept of lifting angle, angle factor and deviation
- Identify the hazards and risks associated with rescue
- Demonstrate user inspections of PFPE and current legislation
- Fit a harness and other PPE onto an injured person, in an enclosed space in a WTG
- Demonstrate the rescue of a casualty from a restricted environment

Certificate
GWO ART-H Certificate is valid for 2 years.
GWO have launched their own unique certificate record data base WINDA. This system allows you and employers to check online using your WINDA ID to verify your current training records.

Prerequisites
GWO WAH + First Aid and Manual Handling
No formal medical is required however participants should have a good standard of general fitness.
Participants will be asked to complete a medical self declaration at the start of the registration process.
